Refund policy
We want every customer to have a positive experience with Fragrantera. Because fragrances are hygienic, consumable products and premium items, returns are limited and can only be considered under the conditions listed below.
Requests must be submitted within 4 days of delivery.
Eligible Return Reasons
We can only review a return request if one of the following applies:
A. Unopened and unused item (customer-initiated return)
If you would like to return an item, it must be fully unopened, unused, untested, with the seal fully intact and in its original packaging not damaged. Approval is not always guaranteed and is evaluated case by case.
B. Incorrect item received
If the wrong item was delivered, email us within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. Once verified, we will provide instructions for the return.
C. Package returned to sender by the carrier
If USPS or UPS cannot deliver the package and it is automatically returned to us, a refund will be issued once we receive it back unopened, with shipping charges deducted.
Condition Requirements for Any Approved Return
To qualify for a refund, the item must be returned in the exact condition it was originally delivered:

No signs of wear, tampering, or damage

Any item that shows signs of being opened, used, sprayed, altered, tampered with, or handled beyond basic inspection will not qualify for a refund.
Unacceptable Return Conditions
The following items cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstance:

Opened, unsealed, sprayed, or used fragrances

Items with missing, damaged, or altered packaging

Bottles with changed or lowered liquid levels

Bottles without a box (these are final sale)

Tester bottles returned without their original tester packaging

Returns sent after the 4-day window or without approval

Returns are not accepted for personal preference, change of mind, or scent expectations

Final Sale Items
Some products on Fragrantera may be marked as Final Sale.
These items:

Cannot be returned under any circumstance

Will always display a Final Sale notice directly on the product page

Are non-refundable due to hygiene regulations and category restrictions

Authenticity and Performance
Fragrantera guarantees the authenticity of every fragrance sold. Variations in scent perception, batch, reformulation, longevity, projection, or comparison to samples, decants, or previous bottles are not valid proof that an item is counterfeit, defective, or not as described.
Returns or refunds will not be approved based solely on subjective scent or performance claims.
Packaging Variations & Cosmetic Imperfections
Some fragrance listings may include additional condition notes such as “95% full,” “box damaged,” “label scratched,” “minor wear,” “cap missing,” or similar descriptions. These details refer to cosmetic or packaging variations that do not affect the authenticity or functionality of the fragrance itself.
Before purchasing, customers are responsible for reviewing all condition notes listed on the product page. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:

Cosmetic imperfections or packaging wear are not considered defects.

Items sold with disclosed imperfections are not eligible for return or exchange.

Fill level variations (e.g., 90% full) are normal, especially for older, used, discontinued, or limited-release bottles.

Testers may arrive without a cap, in a plain box, or with light wear, as described in the listing.

These variations do not affect authenticity, and do not qualify as “damaged” for return purposes.
Fragrantera guarantees the authenticity of every fragrance sold, but we cannot accept returns based on cosmetic conditions that were disclosed prior to purchase.
Fraudulent or Replaced Items
If a customer returns an item that is not the original product we sent, including:

Fake or replica fragrances

Diluted or altered liquids

Swapped items
-
Products with altered liquid level
The refund will be denied immediately, and the item will not be returned.
In cases involving counterfeit, fraudulent, or swapped merchandise, we will notify the authorities and provide all buyer information, tracking, communication, and evidence required for investigation.
This protects our business and the safety of all customers.
Restocking Fees
A restocking fee may apply depending on the condition of the returned item:

Standard restocking fee: 15% for any approved return that is not due to a Fragrantera error.

Opened or used items: If a return is accepted but shows a broken seal, reduced liquid level, tampering, damaged packaging, or signs of use, a 25% or higher restocking fee will be applied depending on the level of damage.
Unauthorized Returns
Items sent back without prior approval will be refused and not refunded.
